Scentsy Sunday

I can’t believe that it has now been one year since I signed up to be a Scentsy consultant!  I still LOVE my Scentsy and pretty much have mine on every day.  For those of you who might not be as familiar with Scentsy, I thought I would share a few of my favorite things about it:

  1. There are so many fabulous smells!  Actually, there are over 80 different scents.  I love being able to change over my scents at any time I would like.  There are some yummy, new fall scents out right now but my absolute favorite has got to be Christmas Cottage (yes, I do know we have not even passed Halloween yet!).
  2. The scent is adjustable.  Everyone has their own preference for how strong they like their scents.  With a candle, it is pretty much all or nothing.  With Scentsy, you pick how many cubes to warm and can easily adjust how light or strong your scent is.
  3. Safety, safety, safety!  Since the Scentsy warmers are heated with a light bulb, there is no open flame, no soot, no wick and, best of all, no worry about the kids getting burned.  I also love it that I don’t have to remember to turn it off if I leave the house.  (I definitely remember a time or two that I had to turn the car around to go home and blow out my candles!)
  4. The Scentsy system is very cost effective.  For anyone that burns good quality candles, you know how expensive it can get.  A Scentsy bar costs only $6 CDN and will last you at least 80-100 hours.
  5. Reduced chemicals.  Scentsy bars are non-toxic and made with a parafin food-grade wax that is designed to melt at low temperatures.  The cubes melt to release the scent but the wax itself never burns.  No wax burning (and no wick!) = less chemicals released.
  6. There are some really cute looking warmers!  I may not love all of them but there is definitely something to suit everyone’s tastes.  The seasonal ones are some of my favorites and the moon glow from my Fright Night looks awesome at night!  Not a great picture but you get the idea!

Check out my website here or just ask if you have any questions.  I will be doing a giveaway next month for this adoarable Prancer warmer (the November warmer of the month) and a bar of my favorite Christmas Cottage!

Have a scentsational Sunday!!

The new fall catalog is out! I always love going through my shipment of new scents -my basement smells great! I am very happy to have snowberry and spiced grapefruit back in the lineup and have a bunch of new favorites to add. My top 5 new scents(in no particular order):
1. kahiko hula (this one actually is my very favorite!)
2. Eskimo Kiss
3. Paradise Punch
4. Christmas Cottage
5. Gingersnap

Along with some new warmers (sorry, the plug-ins have not returned!), there are a couple of brand new products added to the catalog. The cutest addition is our Scentsy Buddies which I had posted about a few weeks ago. They are soooo adorable. Matthew and Connor have been debating which ones they should get. I’m torn between Roarbert the Lion and Ollie the elephant. Each buddy has a zippered pocket to hold a Scentsy fragrance pack (there are 15 different scents available). I love how the buddies also come with their own little story and personality descriptions. Register them online at ScentsyBuddy.com to enter the interactive Scentsy Buddy world! Our very own Lenny the Lamb was actually featured in the Emmy baskets this year and here he is with Jennifer Love Hewitt:

The second new product to hit the catalog is the new fragrance foam. It is an emollient-rich antiseptic cleanser with NO ALCOHOL. That means it will kill those nasty germs without drying your hands and is available in 5 different scents.

For anyone that is interested, I have a basket party all ready to go. All you need to do is grab the basket (all the scents are there in mini jars), meet with a few friends, and choose your free products! I also have lots of product in stock if you are looking for last minute gifts or need to replenish your scent stash!

As always, please let me know if you have any questions or need anything further. If you would like a copy of the new fall catalog just let me know or check out my website. The Holiday Catalog comes out on September 15th so I will have some previews next week. There are some super cute new warmers! Enjoy the long weekend!

I have been a busy girl this weekend doing work, work, work around the house. My new scrapbooking paper and treats that I bought last weekend are still sitting in their bag taunting me! **sigh**

I was hoping to get down to the dikes for some blackberry picking today but got caught up with the housework and building my sons’ HUGE trainset (it does look pretty cool though!). I will have to settle for sitting here with my Blackberry Bushel Scentsy melting beside me!

I just wanted to update everyone on the discontinued scents. They will be available until August 31st and then off to retirement they go. Here is the list:
*cutiepie cupcake
*caramel spice
*green tea smoothie
*cinnamint
*orange dreamsicle
*cinnamon cider
*oxford
*pretty in pink
*casablanca
*mountain retreat
*mineral springs
*cherry limeaid
*go-go-goji

*calypso
*sweet clemintine
*plum delicious
*mad about mint
*grape granita

*tangerine tango
*plumeria

If you would like to order any before they are gone just let me know. There will be lots of new fabulous scents taking their place on September 1st!

Here is a peak at the September warmer of the month. Is it really that time of year already??
