Easter Ideas for Kids

I always love doing little projects with the kids for the holidays. These cute Easter bunny sundaes are fun to make and take very little prep time. Even the older kids will join in!

Once you have the ice cream balls ready, you can just let the kids go and finish up the rest. They can be pretty creative when it comes to getting more candy!

Easter Bunny Sundaes

These Easter bunny sundaes are super easy to make – you just need to have your materials all prepped before you pull out the ice cream. Melting bunnies aren’t quite as cute! Have fun coming up with your own ideas and enjoy the time spent together.

Easter Bunny Sundaes

These cute Easter bunny sundaes make a fun Easter treat that the whole family can do together.

Course Dessert
Cuisine American
Keyword Easter, ice cream
Prep Time 15 minutes
Total Time 10 minutes
Servings 1

Ingredients

  • 1-2 scoops vanilla ice cream, softened
  • 4 pretel sticks
  • 2 candy eyes
  • 1/4 banana
  • 1 red or pink fruit leather
  • 1 candy nose mine is a Sweet Tarts ball
  • handful mini-eggs

Instructions

  1. Allow the ice cream to soften slightly.  Mold into round balls with a flat bottom and smooth with a knife.  Wrap in cling wrap and place back in the freezer until hardened again.

  2. Cut bananas in the shape of bunny ears and the fruit leather for the ear inserts. You just need the bunny ears thick enough that they will hold a toothpick.

  3. Remove ice cream balls from the freezer and have fun putting your bunny together. Stick on eyes, nose, and whiskers. Use toothpicks to attach the bunny ears and enjoy!

Don’t be afraid to get creative with other toppings too.  You could add a large marshmallow for a tail, top with Easter sprinkles, or use your favorite Easter candy. You could even make little sugar cookie ears instead of bananas. The boys’ bunnies got drizzled in chocolate sauce but they didn’t look quite as cute. lol!
