I am happily partnering with World Market on this post.   As always, all opinions are 100% my own.

Christmas Kitchen Ideas

I always love decorating our home for Christmas, but I think that the kitchen has been my favorite room to work on this year.  We just finished our kitchen makeover in April so this was the first year that I have had a white kitchen to decorate.  I know that you got a few sneak peeks of our kitchen last week during our full Christmas home tour, but today I wanted to show you a few more of our Christmas kitchen ideas..

Beautiful Christmas kitchen in red and white.
This year, I went with a traditional red and white color scheme in the kitchen with snowy garlands scattered throughout.

I always love paper straws.  Tucked into some greenery and snowy pinecones, they are an easy and inexpensive way to add some color to your kitchen.  And, of course, they are a favorite with the kids!

When I saw this cookie jar at World Market, I think I may have let out a little squeal.  It is seriously one of the cutest things ever!  I felt that it was only right to put it up on a pedestal. 😉

Now I couldn’t stop at one cookie jar and had to get this Merry and Bright one for the other side of our kitchen.  I guess I will have a lot of Christmas baking to do this year!

I always like dressing up the top of this scale clock each season.  This Christmas, I added a cute red colander from World Market and then filled it with some greenery and snowy pinecones. I am also in love with the yummy hot chocolate flavors that World Market has.  The s’mores mix was the first to get gobbled up, but the gingerbread hot chocolate was a pretty close second!  The rest of the mixes are sitting at our hot chocolate bar in the dining room.

Love this simple hot chocolate bar idea!

I picked up this pretty glittery tree and wish I had bought a couple more for some other areas of our house.  I added part of a pinecone garland {that I actually cut up and used in a few places} and a chalkboard gift tag to fill out the tray.

Homemade simmering Christmas potpourri - love the smells of Christmas! // cleanandscentsible.com
Christmas Potpourri

Now a Christmas Kitchen is not really a Christmas kitchen until it smells like Christmas. I love using homemade simmering potpourri throughout the holidays and look forward to those smells every year! For the best smelling Christmas kitchen, check out this post for my favorite Christmas potpourri recipe.

Completely in love with the red car cookie jar. Unfortunately, no Word Market store here in Gatineau/Ottawa, or in Canada if I’m not mistaken. I lived in Atlanta from 2000 to 2004 and I used to visit that store all the time !
Beautiful kitchen, great inspiration ! Decorating for Christmas is so much fun! Thanks for the ideas.
    Cheers,

Yes, unfortunately they are not in Canada. I live really close to the border though so I try to sneak down there whenever I can! 😉

Maybe a silly question but do you slice the oranges and lemons and put them in the package or simply add that to directions? It seems like the sliced fruit would exude juice that would then make the whole thing a sticky clump. How do you avoid this?

Just put the lemon and the orange in whole. They will just need to cut them up when they are ready to use it. 🙂

Command strips! I’ve done it for a couple of years and it’s worked great. I had to add an extra layer of them though so they were thick enough. Love the plate!

Hello there, making about 32 Mason jar simmering pot gifts, would love to use the beautiful tags you have, you say to use card stock. Is that chalkboard card stock? Or just black?

    Love your kitchen!!!
