Lemonade Float

These delicious lemonade floats are the perfect mix of tart and sweet. They're easy to make and will soon become your favorite summer treat!

Ingredients

  • 1 3/4 cup sugar
  • 8 cups water
  • 2 cups freshly squeezed lemon juice approximately 12-14 lemons
  • 2 quarts vanilla ice cream
  • whipping cream optional

Instructions

  1. To make the simple syrup, use a small sauce pan and combine the sugar and 1 cup of water. Bring to a simmer until the sugar dissolves and then remove from heat. Allow to cool to room temperature.

  2. In a large pitcher or beverage dispenser, stir together the remaining water, cooled simple syrup and lemon juice.

  3. Place a couple of scoops of ice cream in a large cup or mason jar. Fill with lemonade and stir
