Tiered Platter – Christmas Style

  • Share
  • Tweet
I have made a couple of these tiered platters now and I LOVE them! So of course I had to do a Christmas version…

Easy DIY Tiered Christmas Platter. This would be perfect for holding dips!
The plates and the bowl are from Target and I just picked up the glass candle holders from the Salvation Army.  They are painted with Rustoleum’s Colonial Red {which is actually a much better match to the red on the plates than it appears in the photo!} and glued down with Quick Grip.

I really love having the bowl on top.  It is great for holding dips for a fruit or veggie platter, chips, or crackers.  I think this would even be cute dressed up with some greenery and pine cones or ornaments for display.

One tip for adding the candle holders: they can appear lined up one one side and not be lined up from another view. Be sure to check all the way around {or have someone else look for you!} before gluing them down.  You can find a few more tips for making these platters here.

    Hi Jenn,
Thanks for linking to the Simply Christmas Inspiration party. I love this project on so many levels (no pun intended). I really love the idea of a bowl on top. I’ve just got to make one of these for my girls as they are huge fruit and yoghurt dippers – this would be perfect!!

I hope I could find like that or any color at Target. I so love it, it can be a gift to a friend or use it any time of the day. Thanks for the inspiration. And I have to note the glue can I find it at michaels or jo-anne’s?

Looks great. The red accent really makes it look very festive. Reminds me of this cake stand that is also festively red.
