Sunday Sparks {No. 9}

Happy Sunday everyone! I hope you are all enjoying your first weekend of fall. Yesterday the kids and I headed out to one of our local farms for some good ol’ apple {and pear, plum and corn} picking. For some silly reason, I also tried to take them to the Fieldstone Vintage Market. Um… not a good idea. It was pretty much torture seeing all of the fabulous booths and having to walk right on by.  Oh well – there was still lots of wonderful eye candy to view even from a distance.  I did manage to get a couple of things that I will be using for Connor’s old school desk that I am in the process of re-doing {by process I mean that I have bought it}. Hopefully I will be able to show you that soon!

Now on to my Sunday Sparks.  I must say that this was the best week of link ups yet!  There were SO many great ideas.  And we are getting close to 100 links!  Thank-you all for sharing your projects and taking the time to help me make this party grow.  Since it is now officially fall and my Ghostly Gathering will be starting tomorrow, I thought I would feature some of my favorite fall/Halloween inspired ideas.  I really couldn’t decide this week so I picked a few more than usual! 🙂

Jaime from Crafty, Scrappy, Happy shared this super cute Halloween bag {check out that flower!}  Can’t wait to try the Citra Solv transfer technique she used.

Pumpkins are definitely one of my favorite things about fall.  I love the colors and texture of these yarn ones from Everything Under the Moon.

And these re purposed fabric ones from Brown Paper Packages.

Ciao! Newport Beach shares some wonderful fall and Halloween decor inspiration.  This haunted hallway is my favorite.

You can never go wrong with burlap in the fall.  Check out this fabulous wreath from Crafty Chic Mommy.

See how Alderberry Hill turns a basic dollar store sign into a spooktacular Halloween sign post.
Since we were apple picking yesterday, I had to feature this awesome homemade apple crate from Homeroad.  I need one these!!!

And lastly, Angie from Echoes of Laughter shows us some of her beautiful fall decor.

Tomorrow will be the beginning of my Ghostly Gathering – two weeks of Halloween inspiration, projects, and goodies!  I will be having some fabulous guest posters and will be sharing a few ideas of my own.  So gather your projects together and get ready for a fabulous Halloween edition of The Creative Spark {other projects will be allowed too} on Tuesday night.  I hope you will all join in on the party!!  SO EXCITED!!!
I’ll be back a little later today to show you some of my fall decor as I get ready for the party.  Since our Thanksgiving is at the beginning of October in Canada, I generally wait until afterwards before the Halloween decor comes out in full force!
Have a wonderful Sunday!
