Reupholstered Dining Room Chairs

A month after purchasing some fabric to reupholster the dining room chairs, I finally finished them!

I really love the fabric.  Unfortunately, I now really want to paint the chairs.  Don’t you think the fabric would go better with white chairs?  And if I paint the chairs, well maybe I need to do something with the table and the buffet as well…

And maybe I should do something about this little garage in the dining room.

I know you must be so jealous.  It comes with two cars, a gas pump {because how else would the cars go?}, a Disney Cars big wheel, and a firetruck {which could honestly come in handy one day given my cooking skills}. Oh, and the scooter is in the other room.

Sometimes my life really reminds me of this book:

So I guess for now I will just have to be happy with my fabric.

I would still love to hear any dining room suggestions that you may have.  I have a feeling that I may need to tackle this project. Because if you give a girl some fabric…

My 5-yr-old likes to “read” blogs with me and was bored till she saw all the cards. Her response, “Oh! That’s cute.”

Personally, i think that the chairs would look great being white, but not completely white. Leave the cross hatched backing but paint the sides around it and the rest. Then the rest of the furnitue wuld be okay staying oak. You could also get a nice white table cloth if you wanted the table to match the chairs, and even perhaps a white runner on te buffet to tie it in, without having to paint it all if you change your mind. either way, the chairs look cute!

It’s a lovely fabric and I think you’re right, it’ll look fantastic with the chairs in white.
