Yikes! Â I can’t believe that it is already December 3rd! Â Time seems to go extra fast at this time of year!
December is always filled with lots of fun Christmas activities and wonderful memories that I want to make sure we all remember. Â Creating a December Daily Album is a great way to do this but has often been quite time consuming for me in the past. Â This year, I decided to keep things simple and made this cute little album in about an hour. It will be quick to fill in and I can easily add some extra photos to it if needed. Â
IÂ found these tag pocket cards at Michaels {from the Recollections collection} and knew they would be perfect for an album. Â I just cut off the strings and attached them all together with a jump ring. Â I created my own cover page with some papers and stickers from Authentique Paper and added a tag and a couple of jungle bells with some baker’s twine.
For the tags, I just cut out some white cardstock to fit in the pockets, inked the edges, and added a detail or two to each card. Â I plan on journalling on the front of the card and cropping a photo to fit on the back of the card. Â If I want to add extra photos, I can just trim them down to make an extra tag and punch a hole in the top.
If you don’t want to purchase the tags, you can just skip the pockets and cut out your own sized cards {or use something like Project Life cards} and attach those together with the jump ring. Â Â Even if you don’t do a particular Christmas activity on each day, you can always journal about what the holidays mean to you, your traditions, or favorite holiday decoration or food! Â There is always lots to record!
It is easiest to wait until you have all of your photos completed before printing.  Then you can always use a photo editing program to create a collage of 2 photos and then print as a 4×6.  You will then have two 2×3 photos – saves on printing fees and cropping time! 🙂
So what about you? Â Do you do a December daily album? Â Give one a try if you haven’t – they are lots of fun to look back on over the years!

Oh, the inspiration you’ve set off in my mind. I am making about a dozen wintery tags with pockets for Jan. & Feb, about 3 dozen flowery ones for spring, etc. i will do just do a quick photo or write up , and be done with it., not something for eveyday, but on special events like a birthday, or first blooming winter crocus, Easter breakfast at my home,….
Thanks for idea.
