Can you believe that it is April already?  Since it is a new month, it is time for a new monthly To Do list for The Household Organization Diet!  April is all about the master bedroom!

Although I just re-did our master bedroom last year, I still have some organizing in there that I can do and definitely have some cleaning to catch up on.  Here is my list for the month…

If you are following along on The Household Organization Diet, you can download the April list here or a blank April To Do List here.  I will be posting about how to clean your mattress tomorrow but here are some bedroom organization ideas to get you started…

Use wall mounted lamps to free up space on your night stands.

{Better Homes and Garden}

Purchase {or build!} boxes to fit underneath the bed for extra storage.  Add casters for easy access.

{Martha Stewart}

Add a storage unit at the foot of the bed instead of the traditional bench.

{Shelterness}

{Better Homes and Garden}

Have a place to corral your magazines and current books that you are reading.

{Clean and Scentsible}

Make a closet peg board – love this idea!

{Martha Stewart}

Use cutlery organizers to store jewellery.

{Mini Manor Blog}

If you are looking to get a jump start on your master closet, you can find more tips and ideas here and here.  See you tomorrow!

{This post is part of my Household Organization Diet series.  You can join in anytime – just start with these two posts here and here.  If you are looking for past projects, you can find them all on my Pinterest board}.

    I love the bedroom and your sheets! I have been following your blog for a while now and I find it very useful since I enjoy cleaning and you make it look very fashionable. I blog at www. Shaggysheephome.com where I talk about living according to the seasons. I would love for you to share a post about spring cleaning. As the snow melts away we emerge from the house that has sheltered us for so many months living it in a distressed look. How do we freshen it up and make it ready for spring?
