Family Christmas Card Photoshoot

I love pretty much everything about Christmas. Except for sending out Christmas cards. This is probably because I always leave it to the last minute and it ends up causing major stress. I really prefer to get our pictures done outside but with the unpredictability of our fall weather around here, it can be hit or miss! So this year, I had our family pictures done quite early {at the beginning of October} and I am bound and determined to have my Christmas cards done before the craziness of December hits!

We had our pictures done at Whonnock Lake this year. This lake holds a lot of special memories for me. When I was little my Dad used to take me canoeing here to check out the beavers. When I was a little older, I participated in flat water kayak racing and spent my summers at the lake training and teaching a summer program. And this is where Dave and I got married {and since it is our 10 year anniversary year this year I thought that it was kind of fitting!}

Kim from maddiegray photography took all of our photos. Kim and I actually went to elementary school together and she has taken some of my favorite pictures of the kids throughout the years. My boys can be rather “challenging” to photograph and she does an amazing job!
