Fall is coming!

I know it’s still technically summer, but it’s definitely been feeling more like fall around here.  Even when it’s sunny out, the nights are cool and I’ve even seen a few leaves starting to turn.  We’ve started back to hockey and I’ve started to pull out the sweaters for those chilly mornings. Yes my friends, fall is just around the corner!

Today, I’m joining Kristen from Ella Claire for a free fall printable hop.  If you’ve been around here for a while, you know how much I love printables, and this printable hop is one of the best!  There are over 25 gorgeous free fall printables for you to choose from. So no matter what your style and color preferences are, there really is something for everyone. You can find them all at the end of the post – please enjoy!

I love the early fall. The changing of the leaves, the crisp fall air, the cozy evenings.  It really is a magical time of the year.  We usually have pretty good weather through to October so we have lots of time to enjoy all of the fall beauty before the big rains start to hit.  Pumpkin patches, apple picking, fall hikes – there really is so much to love about fall!

In honor of all that fall has to offer, I decided to gather a few of my fall favorites into one printable.  Hot apple cider to sip, apple picking for fresh apples, cozy blankets to snuggle under, and of course, some delicious pumpkin pie to nibble on!  These are a few of my favorite things… 🙂

How to Decorate with Printables

I absolutely love decorating with printables.  They’re quick, easy, and instantly add some visual interest to your seasonal decor. Printables are also a really inexpensive and don’t really take up any space if you’re storing them between seasons.  {TIP: If you use the printables in a frame, just store them in there and rotate the prints each season. They stay damage-free, no extra storage is required, and you’ll know exactly where they are each season!}

Once you’ve found your perfect printable, just download it to your computer and print it out.  You can either print it on a personal printer at home, or send it out to any digital photo processing lab {Costco, Walgreens, etc.}. Just be careful to watch the sizing when you print them and be careful to check for any cropping if you’re sending them out to be printed.  If you choose to print out a printable designated as an 8×10, for example, and you want a 5×7, some of the edges will be cropped.

Printables can be used for so much more than just putting them in a frame.  Here are a few of my favorite ways to use them…

  • add them to a clipboard
  • use them for a card – Just fold some cardstock in half to form a card and glue the printable to the front.
  • use them as place settings – print out 2×3 or 3.5×5 and place over a napkin or place setting
  • make them into tags
  • make a framed canvas
  • transfer them onto wood
  • create a chalkboard transfer

      It’s definitely feeling like fall here. It’s been rainy for the last couple of days and even when it’s nice out, the mornings and evenings are chilly. Hope it cools down a bit for you. 🙂
