Deck the halls with these simple Christmas kitchen decor ideas! Simple ways to anyone can do to add that seasonal touch to your kitchen space.

White modern farmhouse style kitchen decorated for Christmas.

Welcome to the first part of our Christmas home tour! I thought that I would start with the kitchen since it’s probably the room that we spend the most time in. I find that the kitchen is the quickest and easiest space for me to decorate so it’s also usually the room that’s decorated first. A little bit of Christmas cheer definitely makes cooking and doing dishes a bit more bareable!

Christmas Decorating in the Kitchen

The kitchen is sometimes overlooked when it comes to seasonal decorating but don’t forget to give it some holiday love too! The kitchen is where everyone tends to gather so you want it to be warm and welcoming and filled with that amazing Christmas magic. A few little touches here and there can make a big difference without making the kitchen feel too overwhelming or cluttered. Here are some of my favorite Christmas kitchen decor ideas and tips for creating a pretty Chistmas kitchen….

Put together a seasonal beverage station.

I always like to create a little season beverage bar. Since I don’t have a lot of counter room, I just put together a few of my favorite {and most used} items on a tray and hide the rest of the supplies in the cupboard above. It’s a cute little display without making the counter look too cluttered.

We don’t actually use the tea pot that often so I fill it with our tea bags {including my favorite candy cane green tea from Trader Joe’s – yum!}. I just add a few Christmas decorations to dress things up and it makes a cute and functional Christmas display.

Of course, it looks even better at night when the twinkle lights are all aglow.

Add some artwork.

Artwork is one of the easiest ways to add some seasonal cheer and it doesn’t take up a lot of space. I have tons of free Christmas printables on the blog {you can find them all HERE} and I’ll be releasing the new one below next week.  The Christmas Song is one of my favorite Christmas songs and I sing it every time I come in here! lol! I just store all of my seasonal prints in the frame and rotate them around throughout the year.

Use trays.

I’m always a big fan of using trays to keep smaller items organized. Not only does it make the space look less cluttered, but it also helps to make cleaning the counters much easier.

You can find trays at pretty much any home decor store. The one beside our stove is just from Target but have also found some great trays at HomeSense, Pier 1, and Decor Steals.

Dress up the sink.

The first thing that I switch up each season is our seasonal dish soaps. I love seasonal scents and I think the Christmas scents are probably my favorite of them all. It just puts me in the Christmas spirit! I always add a couple of simple Christmas touches to our sink area and this year I used a small pine tree, a flocked pine branch, and a sweet little gold reindeer.

Draw a Chalkboard

Chalkboards are perfect for adding that seasonal touch without having to add any additional decor pieces. Every season I switch out my chalkboard design, add a seasonal dish towel, and it’s done!

I’m not sure if I really want it to snow here but I’d love to see some snow on the mountain tops around us!

Create a cute vignette.

While I do try to keep most of my decor fairly functional in the kitchen, I still love a fun Christmas vignette! This corner is usually where I have my smoothie bar so I scaled back to just a few mason jars and made a cute display with our Christmas gnomes.

The ‘There is no Christmas like a Gnome Christmas” printable can be found HERE if you would like one too.

Use cookie jars.

There are so many cute Christmas cookie jars out there and I love using them for our Christmas kitchen decor. Cookie jars can be used to store much more than cookies too. Use them for tea towels, kitchen scrubbers, tea bags or anything else you want to be out of sight but still have easy access to. Our little gnome cookie jar holds mandarin oranges this year – one of my favorites!

I hope you enjoyed the tour! I’m going to continue touring around the house next week so come on back to see the rest! Christmas really is the most wonderful time of the year!

I got it a few years ago at Superstore. (It’s a grocery store in Canada if you’re not from here). Sorry, I couldn’t be more helpful!

I got it from Decor Steals. It’s a daily deal site, so you kind of have to keep your eye out for it. They just had a really similar one that they were selling.

I got it from Hobby Lobby. It’s from last year but, hopefully, they still have it in stock.

I got it from World Market a few years ago. There’s a cute gnome cookie jar out at Walmart this year too. 🙂
