Candy Cane Reindeer

As Christmas approaches, we all know that time will be in short supply!  If you are looking for a quick, simple craft, give these cute candy cane reindeers are try!

These candy cane reindeer are so cute! Easy for kids to make too!

I saw these Reindeer Candy Canes in Scrapbooks Etc. and thought they would be a fun project.  I am working on creating a bunch for my son’s class at school.  I think that they would also be really cute as present toppers.

Materials

  • candy canes
  • brown yarn
  • google eyes
  • small buttons or pompoms for the nose
  • ribbon
  • bells
  • glue

Directions

  • Put two candy canes together and wrap them up with the yarn.  I made them a little thicker in the middle for those big reindeer tummies!  Tuck the end in when you are finished.
  • Tie a ribbon around the “neck” and add a bell.
  • Glue on your eyes and nose.
Candy Cane Reindeer - so simple!
Can’t get a whole lot easier than that!  I think they look cute so I am off to the store to pick up some more candy canes.  Have a great night!

I think your reindeers are fabulous! Can’t wait to try them with my kindergarten class… they might need a bit of help with the trimmings, but definitely worth a try! Thanks for sharing…
