Candy Cane Hot Cocoa Bar

Nothing reminds me more of Christmas than candy cane hot chocolate! It is one of my favorite Christmas treats and I always buy a big cup of it when I am out Christmas shopping.   So…I thought that it would be fun to set a little hot cocoa bar up in our house…

Candy cane hot chocolate bar. So cute for the holidays!
I purchased the jars and basket awhile ago from DecorSteals and have been waiting to do something with them.  They worked perfect for holding crushed candy canes, hot cocoa powder, and marshmallows.

Candy cane hot chocolate bar. This is so cute and I love the chalkboard laebl.
I printed out some tags {you can download mine here}, matted them on scrapbook paper and tied them around the jars with some baker’s twine.

Candy cane hot chocolate bar. So cute for the holidays!
I had a lot of fun creating the little chalkboard sign.  I painted a wooden rectangle that I purchased from Michaels with chalk board paint and used a chalk pen to draw on the details.  It’s kind of addictive!

I love this candy cane hot cocoa bar! So fun!
Now all that’s left is to sit and enjoy!
Love this candy cane hot cocoa bar - perfect for the holidays! Yum!!
 {The printables can be downloaded here.  You will just need to punch them out with a circle punch}

    I can’t even say how much I loved this idea! This is so pretty, love every detail that went into it ^^
    Now since it’s Spring where I live if I were to attempt this, I had to make it more warm weather appropriate haha I’d have to use tea and herbs, the candy can stay : 9
    Oh and I’d have to keep a bucket of ice cubes at hand : )
    Seriously, great idea Jenn xx

    Good Morning Jenn, What a lovely idea. The weather is cold and miserable at the moment, so this is an ideal time to set up my own cocoa station. I will be out and about hunting for lovely containers like yours. My little nephew will love to make cocoa when he visits. I found you via Yvonne at Stonegable and have become a new follower. Best Wishes from England, Daphne

    Great idea! My hot cocoa has already parked itself by my tea kettle for the season, but this is such a prettier way to “display” it.

    LOVE this super cute idea!! It would be an awesome seasonal gift, as well! I have a question though… Is it difficult to scoop out the hot cocoa powder from those jars? It seems like the mouth of the jar is too small to get a spoon in there. However, it could be an illusion.

      Yes, it does get a little tricky to scoop when it gets down to the bottom but I just shake it loose, turn it more on its side and then scoop away! 🙂
