Organizing and Cleaning the Bathroom {March HOD}

Hello March!  February was a month of big changes for me {updates coming soon!}, so I’m excited to get back into a more regular routine again this month.  As you may have noticed, I took a short {unintentional} blogging break last month, but I should be back to my regular blogging schedule within the next week or so.  I have lots planned for the upcoming months so stay tuned!

Join in the Household Organization Diet to get your whole home decluttered, cleaned and organized. You can do it!!

Hopefully you were able to get most of the tasks completed in the kitchen for February’s Household Organization Diet.  I still have a few organization posts that I’m planning on adding, but I wanted to get the March tasks for organizing and cleaning the bathroom up for those of you that are eager to move on.

The Home Decluttering Diet. This step by step plan will help you declutter and organize your home once and for all! Learn to create {and maintain} the home that you've always wanted to have.

I also wanted to mention that my book, The Home Decluttering Diet, was just released yesterday!!  It’s the perfect companion to my posts here on the blog.  Having something in your hand that you can constantly see and refer back to can make such a difference in keeping your attention and motivation up!  Thank-you so much to those of you that pre-ordered and have supported my adventure.  It is SO appreciated, and I hope that a happy, healthy home is my gift back to you.  You can order from Amazon HERE or HERE, or from Barnes and Noble HERE.

Okay. So on with the March tasks. This month we’ll be organizing and cleaning the bathroom {or bathrooms!}.  It’s time to clear out all of those old towels, counter clutter, and unused personal care items, and create a functional space that you can pamper yourself in!

Here are the tasks for the month…

I like to keep track of when I’m going to do what on a monthly calendar.  Make your {realistic!} monthly plan and stick to it!  Some people like to do a little each day and others would like to block off a longer time period once per week.  Do whatever works best for your time schedule and personality.The March Household Organization Diet - Clean and Organize the Bathrooms. Keep a notes sheet {or two!} handy to jot down any projects, home improvement ideas, extra tasks, etc. that you would like to do.  You might want to use one for tasks that you would like to do this month and a second sheet for future projects that you would like to do in the bathroom.Resized March HOD Blank PageDOWNLOAD THE MARCH NOTES HERE

I’ve been working on putting together a new home binder for this year’s Household Organization Diet but still have a couple of things to finish up.  While you’re waiting, you can get your items ready that you’ll need if you haven’t done so already – a 1 or 2 inch binder, 14 dividers, and a binder pouch to hold pens, post-its, and other little office items that you may wish to use.  Giving yourself goals and actually writing them down where you can continually see them can make a big difference when it comes to actually following through on things.

In the past, I’ve always combined the cleaning and organization tasks for each room in the same post.  This year, I’m doing two posts per month – one for the cleaning and one for the organizing.  I’m hoping that this makes it a little less overwhelming for you and easier to come up with a plan that really fits your own individual needs.

So let’s start with the cleaning! Here are some tips and tutorials to help you out with cleaning the bathroom this month…

 For a thorough deep cleaning and step by step cleaning plan, check out this post on How to Deep Clean the Bathroom.  There’s a free printable checklist included as well for those of you that have a cleaning binder or just like checking things off! 😉
