Pumpkin Bunting

Happy Friday!! This has been a very long week around here so I am so happy for the weekend! I am still working on finishing up the fall decorating and am really hoping to get that checked off my list this weekend {along with a million other items!}

Pumpkins are one of my favorite fall decor items – I have them pretty much everywhere!  Last night I decided that I needed a little pumpkin bunting banner.

Cute pumpkin bunting for fall or Thanksgiving.

I used 2 different patterns of scrapbooking paper {from Basic Grey} for my pumpkins and a a bit of green and brown cardstock {from Bo Bunny} for the tops.

Cute pumpkin bunting to decorate for fall or Thanksgiving!

I cut two ovals for the outer edges out of the same paper and a slightly larger oval out of coordinating paper for the middle layer.  I free handed mine so they wouldn’t look so “perfect” but you could save a lot of time cutting them out on a cutter if you were doing a larger banner.  You could also do fatter pumpkins with another layer of ovals.  The edges of the paper were all inked with brown ink to give them more definition.

For the stems, I cut some brown, polka-dot cardstock and sanded the edges down.  I then trimmed some thin pieces of green cardstock and curled them.  Everything was stuck together with double sided tape.  Just punch some holes in your pumpkins, thread with twine and hang.

    This is the cutest banner I’ve seen yet. I love all the touches you added to the pumpkins. I would love to make something like this, but I’m not sure where I would put it. I’m going to go look right now. Great job.

    Brilliant! I was wondering just how to make a pumpkin and your ovals are a great idea.

    Thank you.

    I just love banners. Your pumpkins are adorable, I love em. My sister made me a 50th birthday banner and I treasure it dearly. It is on the bottom of my blog.

    Gosh Jenn, these are really cute. When I fist noticed them I thought they were done out of thin wood. I have some I did out of the thin wood but never would have thought about making them into a banner.

    I just may have to do that to use over my large mirror in the living room.

    Thanks for the great idea.
    (Not sure how I managed to miss this post till now. )
