Valentine’s Party Invitations and Ideas

My 3 year old is looking forward to his little Valentine’s party and I have been busy looking around for easy ideas!  We are having 8 little preschoolers over so it should be lots of fun!  I don’t have a whole lot of time for planning this one so I am sticking with easy projects only.  I thought I would post some of the things I have been working on in case you are planning a party too!

Here are the invitations that I did up {at 11:00 at night!}

I purchased a Valentine printable kit from Moo Moos and Tutus.

It includes invites, circle tags, napkin rings, wrappers for Hershey kisses and the little Hershey bars, treat bag toppers, a banner, 3×3 greeting cards, water bottle wrappers, and 2 sheets of digital paper.   It was on sale for $7.50 and will be well worth it!

The invitations are super cute even on their own:

But, of course, I always like to add my own touch!  I took some pink paper and cut it into roughly 5.75 x 11.5 inch pieces.  I then inked both sides of the paper and the invitation with black ink to add a little dimension.

I then placed the invitation at the top of the paper so the top and side edges were even and scored at the bottom of the invitation.

I folded the bottom up to create a little pocket and stapled it.

To cover up the staple marks, I added a strip of brown paper and added the circle tag from the kit {you just need a 2 inch punch}.  I used up some of my scrap ribbon to add a little pull tag to the top of the invite and they were all done!

Our party will be at lunch time, so I have been searching around for some cute food ideas.  Pretty much anything can be cut or made into a heart shape which makes for easy planning!

For the drinks I will be doing up some Lemonade Love Potion and adding the bottle wrappers from the kit to water bottles.

My kids don’t like hot dogs but I thought these looked really cute.  I might have to come up with something else to use instead of the hot dog!

There is definitely no shortage of Valentine treat ideas out there.  Here a a few of my favorites that I have come across:

I love how these candy cane heart suckers look from Pleasant Home.

And she also did up these jello pop corn balls.

One of my favorite treats has to be this Valentine Confetti  from This Blessed Nest.  I think I will be doing this up and packaging them with the bag toppers!

I also like this pizza idea with heart shaped toppers.  I think this and some heart shaped sandwiches would work well as the main course.

With all the treats, you can’t forget about adding some fruit!  Here are some cute fruit displays from Life in Wonderland.

Oriental Trading Company always has some cute {and cheap!} favors and decorations  I loaded up on some fun candy, a craft, and these little gorillas for the kids.

Add some playdough hearts and I am done!

I hope this gives you some ideas for planning your Valentine’s Day Party.  Even if you’re not actually having a party, you can still have your own Valentine’s Day fun at home!

Have a great day!!!

Saw you at Sugar Bee’s linky party.

    Looks like a great party.

Instead of hot dogs, could you do sausage links for your kids? Which makes me think I might do that for our oldest child for a Vday breakfast before school! 🙂
