Hello! I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas relaxing and visiting with family and friends.  We are still enjoying some quiet time in our pajamas playing, reading, and building LEGO. Tomorrow I will need to start tackling the mess but, for today, I will just enjoy! 🙂
 
I just wanted to pop in with a little belated Christmas gift for one of you lucky readers!  Cutting Edge Stencils is offering one reader any stencil{up to a $50 value} from their amazing collection.  The hardest part will be picking a stencil!  These are a few of my favorites from their new line…
 
 
It really is amazing how much of an impact a stencil can make and it is probably one of the cheapest ways to punch up your space!  I have used these stencils on a couple of occasions before when I re-did my craft room…
 
 
 
 
Although it does require some time and patience, I think that the results were definitely worth it. Here’s a quick “How to Stencil” video to show you how easy it is!
 
 
Trust me when I say that doing a little research before you get started will save you a lot of work in the end. The videos are great and well worth the few minutes that it takes to watch them.   I also wrote up some of my own stenciling tips to hopefully save you some of the little mistakes that I made on my first project!
 
Remember that you don’t have to limit yourself to just stenciling a wall.  These stencils can be used pretty much anywhere!!  The stencils can also be used for smaller projects such as stenciling pillows or throw rugs, creating wall art, or adding a design to some furniture {like I did on the top of this chest in our master bedroom}

    Anastasia Damask

    I like the stencils because they are beautiful, elegant and sophisticated. The Anna Damask is very beautiful with a brocade pattern and is very hard not to ‘stare’ at it. The Anastasia Damask is absolutely stunning and will take your breathe away. It has a lot of detail with a rose motif, pearl beads and leaves – gorgeous!

  56. My husband and I love the damask stencils, particularly the Anna, Anatasia, and the Harmony stencils, and the Georgian Ceiling Medallion stencil for our entry way and dining room. These are absolutely gorgeous! I think I have found our next craft project!

Hey guys! I don’t do a whole lot of giveaways around here but I am super excited for this one from


I first came across Cutting Edge Stencils last year when I was trying to come up with something fun for my craft room wall.  I literally spent days trying to figure out which stencil I was going to pick – there are so many fabulous designs!

Gorgeous, right?  Well, I finally decided on this one – The Casablanca Allover Stencil.



I must admit that this was a big project for me but it was TOTALLY worth it!  It really is amazing how much that one wall transformed the whole space.  My one piece of advice before stenciling is to do a little research and read the instructions.  Sounds simple I know but I am SO bad at just jumping right into things without knowing what I am doing!

If doing a whole wall is a little intimidating, there are a lot more uses for these nifty little stencils!  I also used my stencil for the top of a chest that I repainted.  After stenciling the wall, this was a piece of cake and literally took about 30 minutes.

You can also create cool wall art,

fun pillows,

or whatever else your heart desires! Curtains, lamp shades, doors, picture frames, canvas – the possibilities are endless!

  52. The stencil designs at The Cutting Edge are gorgeous! It was hard to decide which was my favorite but I narrowed it down to Rachel Allover Stencil and Harlequin Allover Stencil.

  102. omg. . . not an easy decision, however, I’ve come up with Harlequin Trellis Allover Stencil. I’m just in the process of painting my new craftroom and figured this would look gorgeous!
    I’ve pinned, I’ve shared on FB, I’ve checked them out on FB and have been a follower for awhile now!
    Now to get busy in my craftroom and start painting!

  120. Ok, I did all the steps… liked on Facebook, posted, pinterest”ed” (ha!), and choosing just one??? WOW! very hard for me to do! I just love these… I could see my whole house covered in these in no time… LOL! I love the paisley one, polka dots (I love everything polka dots!), and the butterfly for the ceiling is beautiful! I’m a little, ok, well maybe a lot OCD though, so I know this would be a challenging project for me, but really rewarding too! Hope I’m the big winner so I can post my finished project.
