Sparkling Strawberry Slush

This tasty drink is so refreshing on a hot summer day and can be kept in the freezer for a quick drink when guests pop in. The recipe can easily be doubled or tripled for larger parties.
Ingredients
  • 2⅓ cup water + ⅔ cup water
  • ¾ cups sugar
  • 2 tea bags
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries with stems removed
  • ½ cup cranberry juice
  • ¼ cup thawed orange juice concentrate
  • ¼ cup thawed lemonade concentrate
  • 2 cups Sprite or 7Up {regular or diet}
Instructions
  1. Bring 2⅓ cups water and the sugar to a boil. Stir until the sugar has dissolved. Remove from heat and allow to cool.
  2. Boil ⅔ cup water, add tea bags and steep for 3-4 minutes.
  3. Combine the sugar and tea mixtures into a freezer safe container.
  4. In a blender, purree the strawberries, cranberry juice, lemonade concentrate and orange juice concentrate. Stir into the freezer container. Cover and freeze for at least 6 hours.
  5. When you are ready to serve, combine approximately ¾ cup of the strawberry mixture with ⅓ cup soda.
