Photo Banner and Valentine's Day Chalkboard

Last weekend I figured that it was probably time to erase my Christmas chalkboard and get
going on something for Valentine's Day. I decided to do something not too "Valentine's Dayish" because I know that it will probably be long past Valentine's Day when I get around to changing it! :)

The chalkboard is based on "Your Song" by Elton John - a favorite of mine that I used to sing to the boys when they were little.  The official words are "while you're in the world" but I always sang it to them this way.  Sorry Elton!

I always like to create a seasonal banner for the top of my chalkboard and, since Valentine's Day is all about celebrating our loved ones, I thought a photo banner would be cute.

It's pretty self-explanatory - I just cut some pennants from scrapbook paper {this is from Echo Park}, added some photos and a few embellishments and taped them up to some baker's twine.

It may be quite simple but now that it's done....

...this one's for you!

Have a wonderful day!

Beautiful! Love the banner and the chalkboard takes me back to when I was pregnant with my oldest daughter. She would do some crazy flips in my belly when I listened to Elton John. I played it ALL the time. Hope you have had a great week!

Take care,

Trish
