Hey everyone! I hope you have all been having a wonderful week. It has been a crazy one around here to say the least!
Yesterday was my oldest's 9th birthday and he always likes to take a treat to school on his big day.
I am really not a baker but I do always try to make something homemade for my kids' birthdays. I'm not able to do anything fancy but I still try to make it fun!
I used a toothpick to attach the donut holes {our Canadian Tim Bits!} to the cupcake, cut up some gummy candy for the nose and dotted on the eyes and mouth with icing gel. The gel does tend to bleed if it is left on for a while so do this as close to serving time as possible. I then cut up some fruit by the roll for the scarf, added a {Canadian} smartie, and pretzel sticks for the arms.
They may not be the most professional cupcakes out there but the birthday boy loved them so I guess that's all that counts!
Enjoy the rest of your week!
I linked up with Funky Junk Interiors, Tidy Mom, Jennifer Rizzo, Craftberry Bush, Delightful Order, Stone Gable, The Shabby Creek Cottage, Lil Luna, Savvy Southern Style, Home Stories A to Z, Sumo's Sweet Stuff, Project Inspire, Be Different Act Normal, Tatertots and Jello, Whipperberry, 504 Main, The Frugal Girls and The 36th Avenue.

These are so cute! My daughter's school has a ban on cupcakes (I know right?) but they are 4 so I guess I understand not wanting to deal with sugar crazy preschoolers :) Maybe I'll make them over Christmas break!
Very Cute!
