Scrapbook Saturday - My Christmas Planner

I have always wanted to do up a Christmas Planner but have never actually been organized enough to get one done in time. Well, this year I finally did it!

Since time is always short around here, I wanted the planner to be able to be used from year to year.  I used a 2 ring photo binder from We Are Memory Keepers so that pages could easily be added, removed and changed around.

The paper is a mix of old and new Christmas paper lines from Echo Park and My Mind's Eye.  Each section has a divider page that will stay in the planner each year and a page to write notes on that can be removed when I am done with it. I still have to re-arrange my pages a bit so the pictures might be a little out of order.  So here are my sections:

Dates To Remember

I also included a printed calendar to write on in this section that was downloaded from here.  I still have lots more dates to add in!

Things To Do

I'm sure these pages will be filled before long!

Gifts

A place to write down who I need to get gifts for and any ideas that I may have. {I still have not even started my Christmas shopping yet.}

In this section, I also used the photo sleeves to create a little pocket for my receipts {I just cut a 10 x 7 piece of scrapbook paper, folded it in half, and slid it in the photo pocket.  It is held closed with a paper clip.

Food

I am about the furthest thing from a cook that you can get but I do try to do some baking {especially at Christmas!}  I created another photo pocket in this section as well to hold recipes that I may cut out of magazines.

I also included a couple of extra lined pages in this section to write out any other recipes I may come across.

For Next Year

I added this section after I got home from the store with some new lights and letters to Santa for the kids {that are very cute by the way!} only to discover that I must have purchased some during the after Christmas sales last year.  So... this year I can write down things that I may need for next year or things that I have already bought for next year!

And that is my planner for the year {and years to come!}

I'll let you know how organized it actually keeps me!

I very much like this idea! As usual you did a beautiful job on it! I really like your "For Next Year" section....I think it will be so much fun to look at this time next year!
Just a thought which you probably already thought of....if you wanted to recycle some of those pages for next year you could write w/ dry erase markers on the plastic sleeve!

This is really cute. Now that I'm plannin on being crafty in December to spruce up our home with Christmas decorations I could really use something like this to keep me organized. Adn to keep all my cookie plan straight. Thanks for the idea. :)
